MOX Workers: Keep Jumping Ship as this Situation Won’t last much Longer
As the debate over funding for the MOX debacle continues in Congress – all committees agree to a track to final & complete termination but not on when that will happen – things at the MOX project indicate chaos has gotten even worse at the site.
The most qualified workers who want a secure job with overtime are continuing to leave in droves. Less qualified workers remain or are being hired, meaning mistakes will continue, “rework” will not be properly done and construction will slow below the currents snail’s pace.
For an indication of job turnover at the boondoggle – go to this job advertisement site – https://www.indeed.com – and search for “MOX” jobs in “Aiken, SC.” More jobs than ever are being advertised. AREVA/Orana/CB&I MOX Services must be making a tidy profit for every job it fills and that remains filled, right?!
DOE should demand current data on job turnover and qualifications of anyone foolish enough to work at the failed MOX project. DOE must inform Congress just how bad things are in the area of job turnover and retention.
