Thanks to our friend Bonnie Raitt for requesting that Savannah River Site Watch table at the Bonnie Raitt/James Taylor concert on February 8, 2019 in Columbia, South Carolina!
We gathered a bunch of letters against the unjustified expansion of nuclear weapons production – via plutonium “pit’ fabrication in the abandoned plutonium fuel (MOX) plant at SRS. DOE is obligated to prepare a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) on the proposal but is so far dragging its legal feet. The public must be allowed to comment on the proposal and its environmental and health impacts and impacts to a new nuclear arms race.
Thanks to Bonnie for her moral and financial support for the work of SRS Watch!

ROCK ON, Y’all!
