As we know and as is unavoidable due to on-going construction and management problems, the US Department of Energy again awards the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication facility (MFFF) at the Savannah River Site a failing grade. Why is this taxpayer abuse being allowed to drag on and on and on????
The MOX project earns a failing RED rating as the “Project is expected to breach its Performance Baseline cost, schedule, and scope.” Duh!

We continue to hear mismanagement and nepotism horror stories from the MOX construction snake pit. It sounds like the project has been pushed out onto a melting iceberg and special interests and project managers continue to feast off a budget which keeps the pulse of the project just barely above zero. As has long been the case, the project remains ripe for investigations into fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement. Project shutdown always looms and will eventually happen but those who aided and abetted this fiasco need to be brought to justice.
